Christy Turlington's life is so much different now than her days as a supermodel, when she jetted around the globe for photo shoots and runway shows. Turlington was in Houston recently to debut her documentary, "No Woman, No Cry," about maternal health and mortality worldwide and to talk about her charity, Every Mother Counts. "People need to know women are dying from childbirth because they aren't getting the care they need," Turlington said after touring the new Pavilion for Women at Texas Children's Hospital. Turlington said she learned about the issue of maternal health when she developed a postpartum hemorrhage after delivering her first child eight years ago. To make the impact on infant mortality, we have to have a live, healthy mother.
